This summer, The Swan School celebrated its first ever GCSE results. This is a momentous moment for the school as it marks the culmination of five years’ hard work by the first ever students to join the school back in September 2019.
An impressive 42% of exams were graded as 7-9 (A/A*) and 83% of entries were graded as 4-9 (A*-C). On average, students have achieved nearly half a grade higher than their peers in other schools across their eight best subjects (Progress 8) with particular strengths in English, Maths, and EBacc subjects (Science, Humanities, and French).
We are delighted for our students – they have worked hard and deserve their successes. We are unapologetically academic in our approach and are proud to have provided these fantastic young people with the rigorous curriculum, excellent teaching, impeccable learning environment, and nurturing pastoral support which have enabled them to achieve. Their achievements are all the more impressive given the challenges they have faced during their secondary education – from Covid lock-downs to moving school sites and delays to the completion of our building!
We look forward to welcoming lots of our students back into our Sixth Form in September. For those going on to new challenges, we wish them the best of luck and know that they will have the skills to thrive in all their future endeavours.
