Yesterday all of the months of hard work and planning paid off.  Our very first cygnets walked through the door and we can now officially say that we are a school!  The students are the ones who bring the life and soul into the place so before they arrived we were really just a collection of buildings.

It was an absolute pleasure to see all of our students again dressed in their smart uniforms.  Staff have been trying to learn all of their names over the summer holiday, so it was great to see so many of them being greeted by name.

We have an action-packed week planned for the students where they get to know each-other and learn about what it means to be a secondary school student – we call this ‘matriculation week’.  So far, they have really impressed us with their positive attitude. I know it is a really full on week – all the staff have been completely exhausted so I can only imagine what it is like for the students! – but I also know the the cygnets will continue to show their determination to keep going even when things are difficult.

I have included just a few of the fabulous pictures we have taken so far and I look forward to being able to share more in the near future.
